It's funny you mention that. My girlfriend's son says the most hilarious things too. Just the other day he said, "Paul have you ever heard of urban sprawl?" . I said, "yes". He said, "Urban sprawl is awesome." Though I don't think he fully understands what it is as he couldn't articulate why he thought it was "awesome" . Still funny to hear the phrase "urban sprawl" from an 8 year old.
